Super Sireyna Worldwide 2018 is the second edition of the international beauty pageant for trans women with exceptional beauty, talent, and wit. The competition was hosted by and televised on Eat Bulaga! on 19 May 2018.
The one-day event was preceded by the recently-concluded Super Sireyna 2018, whose winner became the delegate of the Philippines to the locally-hosted international pageant.[1] Along with the Philippine representative Nicole Guevarra Flores, the pageant featured seven other candidates from Angola, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Venezuela, and the United States.
Nicole Guevarra Flores of the Philippines was crowned as the grand winner at the end of the competition.[2] She impressed the judges with her contemporary belly dancing in the talent portion and her patriotic and quick-witted response in the question-and-answer portion.
Overview
Selection process
Several trans women from across the world who have proven themselves in previous beauty pageants were personally contacted by Eat Bulaga! and were invited to submit their applications via email. From their distinct personalities and backgrounds, Eat Bulaga! selected the seven most exceptional delegates and flew them to the Philippines for the competition. All expenses of the international delegates were paid by the noontime show.
The Philippine delegate was carefully screened through a series of elimination rounds in the three-month-long televised Super Sireyna 2018 competition. The grand winner of the local pageant became the eighth delegate in the international competition.
