Little Miss Philippines (LMP) is a talent search for young girls who are cute, talented, and intelligent. Since its inception in 1984, the classic segment has provided a stepping stone for children who dream of entering the world of their favorite celebrities in the entertainment industry. It is widely regarded as the country's original child talent search on television after launching the careers of some of the country's most successful female stars.

Glaiza Herradura became the first-ever grand winner of Little Miss Philippines. Her talent was dancing to Sheena Easton's 1983 hit "Telefone". She later became an award-winning child actress, starring in an afternoon television series Heredero on RPN-9.

The most notable alumni of the contest are Aiza Seguerra who finished as a runner-up in the 1987 edition, and Ryzza Mae Dizon who won the talent search in 2012. After joining the competition, both went on to become two of the most successful child stars of their own generations.

Other notable contestants of the segment include Gladys Reyes (1984), Jessa Zaragoza (1987), Camille Prats (1990), Lady Lee (1990), Pauleen Luna (1995), Julie Anne San Jose (1998), and Kim Domingo (2000).

Little Miss Philippines 1984[]

Little Miss Philippines 1984 is the first edition of the iconic Eat Bulaga! talent search.

Glaiza Herradura became the first-ever grand winner of Little Miss Philippines. Her talent was dancing to Sheena Easton's 1983 hit "Telefone". After the competition, she went on to become an award-winning actress, with an afternoon soap to boot, Heredero.

Cousins Donna Cruz and Geneva Cruz joined the pageant in the same year. Both later became well-known showbiz personalities.

Another notable contestant of the first edition is actress Gladys Reyes who was a runner-up. She soon became known for her role in the teleserye Mara Clara.

Little Miss Philippines 1987 is the fourth edition of the child talent search of Eat Bulaga!.

The edition is most notable for discovering the phenomenal child wonder, Aiza Seguerra. Four-year-old Aiza finished as the fourth runner-up of the talent search. After the pageant, she was catapulted to popularity as she joined the Eat Bulaga! family and then starred in various films and television shows.

Another notable contestant of the 1987 edition is then-eight-year-old Jessa Zaragoza (under her real name Richelle Ann Palmario Mallari) of Malabon City who became a grand finalist of the competition.

One notable contestant is actress and fashion model Francine Prieto. Francine was six years old when she joined the 1988 edition. She entered the contest under her real name: Anna Marie Falcon. She was winner for a day but didn’t make it in the weekly selection.

Notable contestants are former child star Kathleen Go Quieng who ended as fourth runner-up in the contest. After the competition, she then co-starred with fellow Little Miss Philippines alumni Aiza Seguerra in the children's show Eh Kasi Bata; and another one is grand finalist Diana Zubiri (under her real name Rosemarie Joy Garcia).

Little Miss Philippines 1996 is the 13th edition of the child talent search of Eat Bulaga!. The contest was open to girls who are 6 years old or below. Daily winners received ₱10,000 while eliminated contestants received ₱1,000.

The criteria for judging were as follows: 30% Personality, 35% Talent, and 35% Intelligence.

Jenny Briones was declared as the grand winner of the competition. She received a cash price of ₱200,000, ₱100,000 worth of educational plans from Platinum Plans, a trip to Hong Kong and a contract from Eat Bulaga. Jenny was part of the noontime show for unknown numbers of months/year/s. She also gained a few TVC, TV shows and a couple of movies having one of them is Pipti-pipti with the TV host Joey de Leon. The last record on file she went on public was 1998 during the Little Miss Philippines reunion.

One notable contestant is actress and singer Julie Anne San Jose who joined the competition when she was only 4 years old. Her career was eventually jumpstarted after joining television singing competitions in mid-2000s.

Clarissa Chongco was declared as the grand winner of the competition, receiving ₱50,000 as the grand cash prize.

Notable contestants include television personalities Ma. Nicole Jeremiah Dulalia, Bianca Umali, Anna Vicente and Issa Pressman. Child star Nicole Dulalia finished as a regional finalist for the National Capital Region, while Bianca joined as a daily contestant. Meanwhile, actress Anna Vicente made it all the way to the grand finals.

Issa Pressman of Antipolo, Rizal, the younger sister of Yassi Pressman, went on to win the talent search. She received ₱200,000. Then-seven-year-old Jazz Ocampo, who is now an actress, won as third runner-up.

Six-year-old Ryzza Mae Dizon of Angeles City was declared as the grand winner of the talent search, receiving ₱200,000 in cash prize and a pangkabuhayan showcase worth ₱100,000.

After winning the competition, Ryzza Mae Dizon went on to join the Dabarkads family as a regular host. She is considered one of Eat Bulaga!'s two child wonders (the other being 1987 fourth runner-up Aiza Seguerra).

Little Miss Philippines 2014: My Mini Me premiered on 24 March 2014 and concluded on 12 July 2014. It is the 26th edition of the child pageant.

The new edition included the subtitle "My Mini Me" in order to highlight the children's rapport with their parents as part of the competition.

Seven-year-old Allyza Imatong of Montalban, Rizal, who impressed the judges with her self-taught pole dancing ability, was crowned as the winner of the competition She brought home ₱200,000 in cash prize.

Little Miss Philippines 2019premiered on 8 July 2019 and concluded on 20 July 2019. It is the 27th edition of the child pageant; it is also a special edition as part of the show's 40th anniversary resurgence of its iconic "Tatak Eat Bulaga!" segments. replacing franchised-segment Boom!.

Three-year-old CJ Keith Longcanaya of Parañaque City was crowned as the Little Miss Philippines 2019 grand winner. Six-year-old Althea Ruedas was declared as the first runner-up, while five-year-old Ysabella Espinosa was hailed as the second runner-up of the competition.

Little Miss Philippines 2021: Online[]

Little Miss Philippines 2021: Online is the latest edition that premiered on 1 March 2021. Due to the stay-at-home and social distancing mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic, the segment is done entirely online with the contestants filming from their homes.

The child talent search is open to young girls 6 years old or below who are cute, talented, and intelligent. To join the talent search, parents must email audition videos of their child which contains a short introduction and talent. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all auditions are done online.
